I can provide three healthy, balanced and nutritious meals and two snacks during a full day. I will endeavour to provide locally produced fresh produce and encourage the children to get involved with the preparation when appropriate and time allows. The Children will be offered water, milk or fruit juice.

I am happy to serve food that you have provided for your child or adapt the menu to cater for individual’s dietary needs, i.e. vegetarian or food intolerance. I provide a choice and encourage children to choose healthy options and to experiment by trying new foods.

If your baby requires pureed dishes I am happy to provide these; please feel free to discuss this with me.

On special occasions, such as birthdays children may be offered a slice of cake and sweets with your advance permission.

I will record, in the daily contact book, what (including approximate amounts) your child has eaten. I am happy to discuss the menu with you.




Toast with a selection of toppings

Boiled or poached egg with toast



Homemade soup with bread

Roll / sandwich / wrap / bagel filled with egg mayonnaise / cheese / cream cheese / tuna / ham / marmite

Spaghetti / baked beans on toast

Chopped tomato / cucumber / pepper

Yogurt / fromage frais



Pasta bolognaise / Lasagne / Cottage pie with seasonal vegetable / Quality Sausages, mashed potato and baked beans / Salmon topped with cream cheese and breadcrumbs, cous cous and seasonal vegetables / 100% Fish fingers, potato wedges and baked beans / Stir fry chicken, vegetables and noodles



Fruit / vegetables / scones / breadsticks
