Answer

I give praise for good behaviour and give the children individual attention so they feel valued. I reward good behaviour using behaviour charts, certificates and allowing a well behaved child to choose the next activity.

I do not and will not allow anyone else while your child is in my care, administer physical or any other form of punishment with the intention of causing pain or discomfort, nor any kind of humiliating or hurtful treatment. I will use distraction, ignoring, discussing with the child, reflection time and removal of treats.

I work together with parents to make sure there is consistency in the way the children are cared for.

Please see my managing behaviour policy.
