The living room is the indoor play area where the toys are available for free play; there is also a quiet comfortable area for reading or looking at books. Indoor themed activities usually take place here. I have a playpen for babies or young children can use it as a playhouse. I also have a high chair and a toddler table & chairs are available for activities and dining.

I can provide controlled, supervised access to television, DVDs, Wii console, a computer and the internet (all with consent and with agreed limitations).

The living room also plays host to the following toys and activities:

  • Lego and wooden blocks
  • Magnetic train set, cars and construction vehicles
  • MicroScalextric

There is limited supervised access to the kitchen for cooking activities.

The downstairs toilet is fitted with a toddler toilet seat. We also have a toddler step and potty. Parents will need to provide a flannel and towel for their child. We have a changing mat. There is also a toddler seat available for use in the bathroom upstairs.

We have a well maintained, safe, secluded, gated, child friendly garden; a large parasol is available to provide a shaded area of play and the playpen can also be used outside and provides SPF50 protection. The following outdoor toys are available:

  • Sand table
  • Water play
  • Slide and seesaw
  • Outdoor Playhouse
  • Tunnel and tent
  • Scooter
  • Bike
  • Various ball games

There is limited access to the bedrooms upstairs for children who require naps; I can provide a travel cot or bed. Parents will need to provide bedding for their child to use. I have a baby monitor for use during naps if required.

The following safety equipment is used throughout the house to restrict access to areas and to prevent and treat accidents:

  • Corner protectors
  • Gates
  • Plug covers
  • cupboard locks
  • First aid kits
  • Smoke detectors and fire safety equipment.

Outing equipment such as a three-wheel pram/buggy, double buggy, reins and a wrist strap are available for when we are out and about. I also carry a travel first aid kit with me.
